Seasons Greetings

We wish all members and website visitors a very pleasant Christmas and a prosperous 2005.

Annual General Meeting

The date has been set for Thursday 27th January at Motor Sports House (MSA) starting at 13.30 hours. Any proposals must be with the Administrator in writing by no later than 12th January 2005.

MSA Regulation Changes for 2005

Please see the leaflet from the MSA.

JICA Age

Competitors will be allowed from their 12th birthday provided they have held a Nat A licence for at least 12 months. This was considered appropriate action to see if the JICA class entry levels (as the premier MSA British junior championship class) could be stimulated. There has been discussion

regarding other junior classes ages and these are being referred to the first Kart Committee meeting in 2005.

Autosport International 2005

Nearly forty leading kart manufacturers, companies and timing specialists are already confirmed as exhibiting in the newly formed two and four-day sections, presenting what is hoped will be the biggest karting area seen at Autosport International. Several BKIA members are among the latest companies confirmed.

Over 650 karters will flock to the NEC on Saturday 15 January as Autosport International proudly hosts both the Super One and Super Four awards. Both championships have benefited from a pair of complementary tickets each of for their competitors, ensuring the biggest ever driver attendance in the newly located karting area in Hall 20.

For any show exhibitor enquiries please phone 0208 267 8317.

CIK Proposals for 125cc TaG Engine Classes.

The following is extracted from recent CIK meeting minutes and summarises the proposed 125cc class structure being presented for World Council approval. It is provided for information only and must not be seen as having any regulatory value. Please take time to absorb these proposals. Given that the homologations will take place in 2006 we clearly have a window to present collated comments via the MSA but not too long.

·          125cc engine homologations to take place late 2006, for 2007 race season.
